Nikolai Vogel (born January 10, 1971 in Munich ) is a German writer and visual artist .

Life

Nikolai Vogel attended a grammar school in Landsberg / Lech . After graduating from high school , he studied modern German literature , philosophy and computer science at the University of Munich . This, he graduated with the degree of Magister from. He then worked as a web developer and freelance writer . In 1993 he founded together with Kilian Fitzpatrick the Black Ink Publishing .

Nikolai Vogel, together with Ulrich Bauer-Staeb, co-founded the “Münchner See-Lesungen”, which took place from 1996 to 2000 on the Kleinhesseloher See in the English Garden in Munich . In 2004 Vogel took part in the Berlin competition " Open Mike " and in 2005 in the Ingeborg Bachmann competition in Klagenfurt .

In addition to working on his own literary texts, Nikolai Vogel also oversaw text-critical electronic editions by Robert Musil and Goethe as well as Internet editions by Rilke and Paul Scheerbart . Since the beginning of 2004 he has been running the weblog nachwort.de on the Internet .

In 1997, Nikolai Vogel was awarded the Landsberg / Lech district's cultural promotion prize and the Bavarian art promotion prize in 2007 . In 2005 he received a scholarship from the authors' workshop at the Berlin Literary Colloquium ; In 2008 he received the project grant for fine arts from the city of Munich, in 2009 he was artist-in-residence in Munich and in 2012 he won the competition "Let's perform - art in public space" of the cultural department of the City of Munich.
