Nils Strunk (* 1990 in Bad Oldesloe ) is a German actor and musician .

Life

Nils Strunk grew up in Lübeck . As a teenager he played in various bands and directed the musical group at the Katharineum in Lübeck , where he also graduated from high school. He then worked at the Berlin State Opera in theater education . After a discontinued history course, several directorships and assistants followed, including a. with Andrea Breth .

From 2011 to 2015 he completed his acting studies at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Art (HfS) in Berlin . There he played several times under the direction of Christian Grashof , such as the title role in Dantons Tod and developed roles under the direction of Eva Weißenborn , Ruth Reinecke and Corinna Harfouch . During his studies he had first guest engagements at the State Opera in the Schillertheater , at the Deutsches Theater Berlin and at the Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz .

From May 2015 to the beginning of 2017 Nils Strunk was a permanent member of the theater ensemble at the Hessian State Theater Wiesbaden , where he also worked as a stage musician and musical director in various productions .

From May 2017 until the end of the 2018/19 season he was a member of the Residenztheater Munich . He made his debut there, alongside Bibiana Beglau , as the Afghan refugee Hippolyt in Martin Kušej's production Phädras Nacht . In the 2017/18 season he played the title role in Martin Kušej's new production of Don Karlos by Schiller . In the 2018/19 season he played the role of Jean Paul Marat in Tina Lanik's production of Marat / Sade at the Munich Residenztheater , alongside Charlotte Schwab as Marquis de Sade .

Since the 2019/20 season, Nils Strunk has been a guest at the Volksbühne Berlin , the Schauspiel Hannover and the Vienna Burgtheater .

Nils Strunk is also active as a film composer, stage musician and choir director. He is a founding member of the group "Neues Künstlertheater". In 2019 he received the Kurt Meisel Award and was awarded the Bavarian Art Award for the Performing Arts .

In May 2016 Strunk was in the scene: the right to attend , the second case of the franc - crime scene in a supporting role as a young medical student, graduate student to see Philip.
