Alexander Muno

Alexander Muno (* 1979 in Saarburg near Trier ) is a German composer .

Life

The earliest compositional attempts go back to the age of six. In 1997 and 1998 he took part in the International Youth Festival Meeting ( Festival of Young Artists ) in Bayreuth, where he attended composition courses from Tobias PM Schneid . In 1999 and 2000, Alexander Muno attended Theo Brandmüller's analysis seminars for two semesters at the Saarland University for Music and Theater in Saarbrücken . In October 2000 he began studying composition at the University of Music in Würzburg , where he was in Heinz Winbeck's master class until summer 2008 . He also studied musicology , art history and philosophy at the Bavarian Julius Maximilians University in Würzburg .

Muno spent the winter of 2006/2007 on a scholarship from the Bavarian State Ministry for Science, Research and the Arts at the Cité Internationale des Arts , Paris. Commissioned works were created for the festival young.euro.classic / European Music Summer Berlin , the Heidelberger Frühling , the Kasseler Musiktage , the Kissinger Sommer, the Bavarian State Opera Munich, the Theater Heidelberg, the Landestheater Detmold, the orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Berkeley Symphony Orchestra and for the Philharmonic State Orchestra Hamburg .
