André Werner

André Werner (born June 4, 1960 in Bremerhaven ) is a German composer . He lives and works in Berlin .

Life

After studying classical guitar and oboe at the Musikhochschule Bremen (1980 to 1986), Werner studied composition from 1986 to 1992 at the Hochschule der Künste Berlin with Frank Michael Beyer . During his studies he started working in the studio for electronic music at the HdK Berlin and later at the TU Berlin ; In addition to various compositions for instruments and live electronics , he mainly developed initial approaches for researching psychoacoustic phenomena and their application in his own works. His work includes works for music theater , orchestral and chamber music as well as compositions for the voice (piano song or solo ).
