Michael Stange (born January 3, 1980 in Bergneustadt ) is a German actor .

Life

Michael Stange is the son of a master butcher and a cook. He attended grammar school in Olpe, where, as a twelfth grader, he appeared in the title role in a school performance in Friedrich Dürrenmatt's comedy Romulus the Great . After graduating from high school, Stange did community service in a school for the mentally disabled and then studied special education in Cologne for two years . Finally he turned to acting and began studying at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg , graduating with a diploma in 2007. Already during his training he was involved in various productions of the Salzburg Festival as part of the Young Actors Project, in 2005 he played in the play The Fairy Tale of the Sponge at the Ruhrtriennale . At the beginning of the 2007/08 season, Stange's artistic home was the Augsburg Theater , to which he belonged until 2010. Here he was seen in numerous roles, including Schürzinger in Kasimir and Karoline von Ödön von Horváth , Carlos in Goethe's Clavigo , Andreas Kragler in Drums im Nacht von Bertolt Brecht and the Baron von Burleigh in Schiller's drama Maria Stuart . In 2011 the audience saw him again as a guest in Augsburg, in the years after that he was engaged - also as a guest - at the theaters in Baden-Baden and Bonn , at the Vorarlberger Landestheater and again in Augsburg.
