Chatignonville is a French commune with a population of 64 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Essonne in the region of Ile-de-France ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Étampes and is part of the canton of Étampes . The inhabitants are called Chatignonvillois .

geography

Chatignonville is the westernmost municipality in the Essonne department. It is located about 52 kilometers southwest of Paris . Chatignonville is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Corbreuse in the north and northeast, Authon-la-Plaine in the east and southeast, Garancières-en-Beauce in the south and Allainville in the west.
