Guigneville-sur-Essonne is located about 45 kilometers south of Paris on the banks of the Essonne River , which also forms the western municipal boundary. The municipality is located in the Gâtinais français Regional Nature Park . Guigneville-sur-Essonne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Ferté-Alais in the north and north-west, Videlles in the east and north-east, Boutigny-sur-Essonne in the south and south-east, Vayres-sur-Essonne in the south and D'Huison-Longueville in the west .
