Boissy-le-Sec is a French commune with a population of 683 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Essonne in the region of Ile-de-France ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Étampes and is part of the canton of Étampes . The inhabitants are called boissyons .

Boissy-le-Sec is located about 46 kilometers south-southwest of Paris . The Renarde River runs through the north of the municipality . Boissy-le-Sec is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sermaise in the north, Villeconin in the east and north-east, Brières-les-Scellés in the south-east, Étampes in the south and south-east, Boutervilliers in the south-west, La Forêt-le-Roi in the west and Roinville in the north-west .
