Mespuits is a municipality in the department of Essonne in the region of Ile-de-France in France . It has 211 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). Mespuits belongs to the Arrondissement of Étampes and the Canton of Étampes (until 2015: Canton of Méréville ). The inhabitants are called Mespuitsiens .

Mespuits is about 35 miles south of central Paris . Mespuits is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Puiselet-le-Marais in the north and north-west, Valpuiseaux in the north and north-east, Gironville-sur-Essonne in the east, Champmotteaux in the south-east, Brouy in the south and south-east, Blandy in the south and south-west, Roinvilliers in the west and Southwest and Bois-Herpin in the west and northwest.
