The Communauté d'agglomération Étampois Sud Essonne is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté d'agglomération in the department of Essonne in the region of Ile-de-France . The community association was founded on December 16, 2008 and today comprises 37 communities. The administrative headquarters are located in Étampes .

Historical development

With effect from January 1, 2019, the previously independent municipalities of Méréville and Estouches were merged to form Commune nouvelle Le Mérévillois , which was incorporated into the municipal association. This reduced the number of municipalities in the association of municipalities from 38 to 37.
