Saint-Cyr-la-Rivière is a French municipality with 517 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Essonne in the region of Ile-de-France ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Étampes and is part of the canton of Étampes (until 2015: canton of Méréville ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Cyriens .

Saint-Cyr-la-Rivière is located about 58 kilometers south-southwest of Paris on the Éclimont , a tributary of the Juine . Saint-Cyr-la-Rivière is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saclas in the north and west, Boissy-la-Rivière in the north and north-east, Fontaine-la-Rivière and Abbéville-la-Rivière in the east, Arrancourt in the south-east and Le Mérévillois in the south and southwest.
