La Forêt-Sainte-Croix is a French municipality with 162 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Essonne in the region of Ile-de-France ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Étampes and is part of the canton of Étampes (until 2015: canton of Méréville ). The inhabitants are called Sylvaniens .

La Forêt-Sainte-Croix is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Étampes in the north and north-west, Morigny-Champigny in the north, Puiselet-le-Marais in the east and north-east, Bois-Herpin in the south and east, Marolles-en-Beauce in the west and south-west and Boissy-la-Rivière to the west.
