Sermaise Town Hall

Sermaise is a commune with 1,622 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Essonne in the region of Ile-de-France ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Étampes and the canton of Dourdan (until 2015: canton of Saint-Chéron ). The inhabitants are called Sermaisiens or Sermates .

geography

Sermaise is located about 35 kilometers south-southwest of Paris on the Orge River . Sermaise is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Val-Saint-Germain in the north, Saint-Chéron in the east and northeast, Souzy-la-Briche in the east, Villeconin in the southeast, Boissy-le-Sec in the south and Roinville in the west.
