Bois-Herpin is a French commune with a population of 77 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Essonne in the region of Ile-de-France ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Étampes and is part of the canton of Étampes (until 2015: canton of Méréville ). The inhabitants are called Bois-Herpinois .

Bois-Herpin is about 54 kilometers south of Paris . Bois-Herpin is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Puiselet-le-Marais in the north and northeast, Mespuits in the east and southeast, Roinvilliers in the south, Abbéville-la-Rivière in the southwest, Marolles-en-Beauce in the west and La Forêt-Sainte-Croix in the west and northwest.
