Orveau is a French commune with 193 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017), located in the Essonne department and in the Île-de-France region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Étampes and the Canton of Étampes (until 2015: Canton La Ferté-Alais ). The inhabitants are called Orvallois .
geography
Orveau is about 45 kilometers south of Paris . The municipality is located in the Gâtinais français Regional Nature Park . Orveau is surrounded by the neighboring communities Boissy-le-Cutté in the north and north-west, D'Huison-Longueville in the north and east and Bouville in the south and west.
