Établissement public territorial

An Établissement public territorial (EPT) is a legal form of a municipal association ( Établissement public de coopération intercommunale - EPCI ) introduced in France in 2016 . This particular form was only to breakdown of some 7 million inhabitants Métropole du Grand Paris created and is therefore only in the departments of Hauts-de-Seine , Seine-Saint-Denis and the department of Val-de-Marne of the Region Ile-de -France for use. They serve the joint exercise of communal tasks by the participating communities. The respective division of competencies is individually agreed between the metropolis administration and the EPTs.
