Estouches is a village and a former French community with 253 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Essonne in the region of Ile-de-France . It belonged to the Arrondissement of Étampes and the Canton of Étampes . The inhabitants are called Estornaciens .
With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Estouches and Méréville were merged to form the Commune nouvelle Le Mérévillois , in which the former municipalities have the status of a Commune déléguée . The administrative headquarters are located in Méréville.
geography
Estouches is located in the southern part of the Essonne department, about 60 kilometers south-southwest of Paris . Estouches is surrounded by the villages of Saint-Cyr-la-Rivière in the north, Arrancourt in the north and northeast, Sermaises in the east, Pannecières in the south and east, Autruy-sur-Juine in the southwest and Méréville in the west.
