The Communauté d'agglomération Grand Paris Sud Seine-Essonne Sénart is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté d'agglomération in the departments of Essonne and Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . The community association was founded on December 15, 2015 and today consists of 23 communities. The administrative headquarters are located in Évry-Courcouronnes . The specialty lies in the cross-departmental organization of the municipalities.

Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2016 from the merger of the predecessor organizations

With effect from January 1, 2019, the previously independent municipalities of Évry and Courcouronnes were merged to form Commune nouvelle Évry-Courcouronnes , which was incorporated into the municipal association and took over the administrative seat. This reduced the number of municipalities in the association of municipalities from 24 to 23.
