Tigery is a French commune with 4,017 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Essonne in the region of Ile-de-France . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement Évry and is part of the canton Épinay-sous-Sénart . The inhabitants are called Tigeriens .

geography

Tigery is located about 30 kilometers southeast of Paris on the small Hauldres river, which flows into the Seine west of Tigery . Tigery is surrounded by the neighboring communities Quincy-sous-Sénart in the north and north-east, Combs-la-Ville in the north-east, Lieusaint in the east and south-east, Saint-Pierre-du-Perray in the south, and Saint-Germain-lès-Corbeil in the south-west as well Étiolles to the west and north-west.

Part of the Forêt de Sénart forest area is located in the municipality.
