Boigneville is a French municipality with 389 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Essonne in the region of Ile-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement Évry and the canton Mennecy (until 2015: canton Milly-la-Forêt ). The inhabitants are called Boignevillois .
geography
Boigneville is about 58 kilometers south of Paris on the Velvette River . The Essonne limits the municipality to the east. The municipality is located in the Gâtinais français Regional Nature Park . Boigneville is surrounded by the neighboring communities * Prunay-sur-Essonne in the north,
- Buno-Bonnevaux in the northeast,
- Nanteau-sur-Essonne in the east and south-east,
- Le Malesherbois with Malesherbes and Orveau-Bellesauve in the south and Nangeville in the southwest,
- Champmotteux to the west.
