Nanteau-sur-Essonne is a French municipality with 435 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the department of Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Fontainebleau and the Canton of Fontainebleau . The inhabitants are called Nantessonnais or Nantessonnaises .
geography
Nanteau-sur-Essonne is the westernmost commune of the Seine-et-Marne department. It borders the Essonne department in the north and is three kilometers north of Malesherbes and 13 kilometers southwest of Milly-la-Forêt . The municipality is located in the Gâtinais français Regional Nature Park .
