Villemaréchal is a French commune with 1,110 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Fontainebleau and the Canton of Nemours (until 2015: Canton Lorrez-le-Bocage-Préaux ). The inhabitants are called Villemarchais .
On January 1, 2019, the municipality of Villemaréchal merged with Saint-Ange-le-Viel to form the Commune nouvelle Villemaréchal. The former municipality of Villemaréchal has since had the status of a Commune déléguée with 875 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) within the Commune nouvelle.

Villemaréchal is about 76 kilometers south-southeast of Paris . Neighboring municipalities of Villemaréchal are Villemer in the north and northwest, Dormelles in the north, Flagy in the northeast, Saint-Ange-le-Viel in the east, Lorrez-le-Bocage-Préaux in the southeast, Paley in the south, Nanteau-sur-Lunain in the southwest as well Treuzy-Levelay in the west.
