Ormesson is a French commune in the Seine-et-Marne in the Ile-de-France . It belongs to the canton of Nemours in the Arrondissement of Fontainebleau . The inhabitants call themselves Ormessonais or Ormessonaises.

Ormesson is located in the Gâtinais français Regional Nature Park and borders Saint-Pierre-lès-Nemours to the north and east , Faÿ-lès-Nemours to the south-east, Châtenoy to the south-west and Chevrainvilliers to the west .
