Chartrettes Town Hall

Chartrettes is a French commune with 2,554 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Fontainebleau and is part of the canton of Nangis (until 2015: canton of Le Châtelet-en-Brie ). Chartrettes is a member of the Communauté d'agglomération du Pays de Fontainebleau . The inhabitants call themselves Chartrettois .

geography

Chartrettes is on the Seine on the opposite side of the Fontainebleau forest . Neighboring municipalities are Vaux-le-Pénil in the north, Sivry-Courtry in the northeast, Fontaine-le-Port in the east, Bois-le-Roi in the south, La Rochette in the west and north-west and Livry-sur-Seine in the north-west.
