The Canton of Nangis is a French canton in the arrondissement of Fontainebleau , Melun and Provins , in the Seine-et-Marne and the region Ile-de-France ; its main town is Nangis . Paule Noury ​​( UMP ) has been a representative in the General Council of the Department since 2001, last re-elected in 2008 .

Until the reorganization, the canton of Nangis consisted of the 17 municipalities of Bannost-Villegagnon , Bezalles , Boisdon , La Chapelle-Rablais , Châteaubleau , La Croix-en-Brie , Fontains , Frétoy , Gastins , Jouy-le-Châtel , Maison-Rouge , Nangis , Pécy , Rampillon , Saint-Just-en-Brie , Vanvillé and Vieux-Champagne . Its layout corresponded to an area of ​​254.02 km ² .
