Les Écrennes is a French municipality with 604 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Melun and the Canton of Nangis (until 2015: Canton Le Châtelet-en-Brie ). The inhabitants are called Écrennois .
geography
Les Écrennes is located about 14 kilometers east-southeast of Melun and about 54 kilometers southeast of Paris . Les Écrennes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Chapelle-Gauthier in the north, Fontenailles in the east and northeast, Échouboulains in the east and southeast, Valence-en-Brie and Pamfou in the south and Le Châtelet-en-Brie in the west.
The A5 autoroute runs along the western municipal boundary.
