It belongs to the Arrondissement of Melun and the Canton of Nangis (until 2015: Canton Le Châtelet-en-Brie ). The inhabitants are called Échouboulinois .

geography

Échouboulains is located about 22 kilometers east-southeast of Melun and about 62 kilometers southeast of Paris . Échouboulains is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Fontenailles in the north, La Chapelle-Rablais in the north-east, Laval-en-Brie in the east, Forges in the south, Valence-en-Brie in the west and south-west and Les Écrennes in the north-west.

The A5 autoroute runs along the southwestern municipal boundary.
