Guignes Town Hall

Guignes (formerly Guignes-Rabutin ) is a French municipality with 4095 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Melun and is part of the canton of Nangis . The inhabitants are called Guignois (es) .

geography

Guignes is located about 41 kilometers southeast of Paris on the Avon River . Guignes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chaumes-en-Brie in the north and northeast, Verneuil-l'Étang in the east, Andrezel in the south and Yèbles in the west.

Route nationale 36 and the former route nationale 19 run through the municipality .
