geography
The municipality is located about 45 kilometers southeast of Paris . Verneuil-l'Étang is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chaumes-en-Brie in the north, Beauvoir in the east, Aubepierre-Ozouer-le-Repos in the south-east, Andrezel in the south and Guignes in the west.
The place is the terminus of the Verneuil-l'Étang-Melun tram . Its station is on the Paris – Mulhouse line .
