Mortcerf is surrounded by the neighboring communities Dammartin-sur-Tigeaux in the north, Guérard in the east and northeast, Hautefeuille in the east and southeast, Lumigny-Nesles-Ormeaux in the south and southeast, Crèvecœur-en-Brie in the south, La Houssaye-en-Brie to the south and south-west, Neufmoutiers-en-Brie to the west and Villeneuve-le-Comte to the north-west.
