Bernay-Vilbert is a French municipality with 827 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement Provins and the canton of Fontenay-Trésigny (until 2015: canton of Rozay-en-Brie ). The inhabitants are called Bernéens-Vilbertiens .
geography
Bernay-Vilbert is located about 48 kilometers east-southeast of Paris on the Yerres River , into which the Yvron flows here. The National Route 4 runs through the municipality . Bernay-Vilbert is surrounded by the neighboring communities Lumigny-Nesles-Ormeaux in the north, Rozay-en-Brie in the northeast, Voinsles in the east, La Chapelle-Iger in the southeast, Courpalay in the south, Courtomer in the south and southwest, Chaumes-en-Brie in the west and Fontenay-Trésigny in the north-west.
