Sognolles-en-Montois is a French commune in the Seine-et-Marne in the Ile-de-France . It belongs to the canton of Provins (until 2015 canton Donnemarie-Dontilly ) in the Arrondissement of Provins . It borders in the northwest with Vanvillé , in the north with Maison-Rouge and Lizines , in the east with Savins , in the southeast with Thénisy , in the south with Cessoy-en-Montois , in the south with Meigneux and in the west with Rampillon . The residents call themselves Sognolots.

history

Sognolles was part of the municipality of Lizines-Sognolles until Lizines was separated in 1874. In 1919 the suffix "-en-Montois" was added.
