Courpalay is a French commune with 1,323 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement Provins and the canton of Fontenay-Trésigny (until 2015: canton of Rozay-en-Brie ). The inhabitants are called Courpaliens .

geography

Courpalay is located about 55 kilometers east-southeast of Paris on the small river Yvron . Courpalay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bernay-Vilbert in the north, La Chapelle-Iger in the east, Gastins in the southeast, Quiers in the south and Aubepierre-Ozouer-le-Repos in the west.
