The Communauté de communes Val Briard is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . It was founded on December 23, 2016 and comprises 21 parishes. The administrative headquarters are in La Houssaye-en-Brie .

Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2017 from the merger of the predecessor organizations

with access by the municipality of Courtomer from the dissolved Communauté de communes de l'Yerres à l'Ancœur .

By decree of July 3, 2017, the communes of Ferrières-en-Brie and Pontcarré left the association and joined the Communauté d'agglomération de Marne et Gondoire .

With effect from January 1, 2018, the municipalities of Villeneuve-le-Comte and Villeneuve-Saint-Denis left the local association and joined the Val d'Europe Agglomération .
