Marles-en-Brie is a French commune with 1,679 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement Provins and the canton of Fontenay-Trésigny (until 2015: canton of Rozay-en-Brie ). The inhabitants are called Marlois .
geography
Marles-en-Brie is about 40 kilometers east-southeast of Paris . The Breon River runs along the northern municipal boundary . Marles-en-Brie is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Houssaye-en-Brie in the north, Crèvecœur-en-Brie in the north and north-east, Lumigny-Nesles-Ormeaux in the east, Fontenay-Trésigny in the south, Châtres in the west and Les Chapelles- Bourbon in the northwest.
