Rampillon is about 63 kilometers south-east of Paris . Rampillon is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Croix-en-Brie in the north, Vanvillé in the east and north-east, Sognolles-en-Montois in the east and south-east, Meigneux in the south and south-east, Villeneuve-les-Bordes in the south and south-west, Fontains in the south-west as well as Nangis in the west. The former route nationale 19 (today's D619) runs along the northern edge of the municipality .
