Chalautre-la-Grande is a French commune in the Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the canton of Provins (until 2015 canton of Villiers-Saint-Georges ) in the Arrondissement of Provins . It borders Beauchery-Saint-Martin to the north, La Saulsotte to the east, Saint-Nicolas-la-Chapelle to the south-east, Le Mériot to the south, Sourdun to the south-west and Léchelle to the west . The residents call themselves Chalautriers . In addition to the main settlement, the hamlets of Puits Froux, Puits Jolly, Les Chaises and Fouchères also belong to the municipality .
