Chenoise-Cucharmoy is a French commune with 1,623 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Provins and the Canton of Provins .

It was created with effect from January 1, 2019 as Commune nouvelle by merging the previous municipalities of Chenoise and Cucharmoy . However, the former municipalities do not have the status of Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Chenoise.

geography

The community is located around 70 kilometers east-southeast of Paris . The river Yvron has its source in the municipality . Neighboring municipalities are: Bannost-Villegagnon in the north, Saint-Hilliers in the northeast, Mortery in the southeast, Vulaines-lès-Provins and La Chapelle-Saint-Sulpice in the south, Maison-Rouge and Vieux-Champagne in the southwest, Saint-Just-en- Brie in the west and Jouy-le-Châtel in the northwest.
