Mairie Châtenay-sur-Seine

Châtenay-sur-Seine is a French commune in the Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the canton of Provins (until 2015 canton of Donnemarie-Dontilly ) in the arrondissement of the same name . The inhabitants call themselves Châtenaysiens .

geography

Châtenay is located on the Vieille Seine , which is flanked by numerous former gravel pits filled with water. The Seine flows south of it and passes Châtenay-sur-Seine in the south without forming the municipal boundary. The neighboring communities of the locality, twelve kilometers northeast of Montereau-Fault-Yonne , are Montigny-Lencoup in the northwest, Égligny in the northeast and east, Balloy and Gravon in the southeast, La Tombe in the south and Courcelles-en-Bassée in the west.
