Bellot is a French municipality with 774 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement Provins and the Canton of Coulommiers (until 2015: Canton Rebais ). The residents call themselves Bellotiers .

location

Bellot is located about 72 kilometers east of Paris on the Petit Morin , which forms the northwestern municipal boundary. Bellot is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Villeneuve-sur-Bellot in the north, Verdelot in the east and northeast, Saint-Barthélemy in the south and southeast, La Ferté-Gaucher in the south, Saint-Léger in the west and Sablonnières in the northwest.
