Silvio Maria Dário

Silvio Maria Dário (born August 16, 1919 in Pederneiras , São Paulo , Brazil ; † May 2, 1974 ) was a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Itapeva .

Life

Silvio Maria Dário received on 8 December 1944, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On February 22, 1965, Pope Paul VI appointed him . as titular bishop of Oppidum Novum and auxiliary bishop in Botucatu . The Archbishop of Botucatu, Henrique Golland Trindade OFM , donated him episcopal ordination on May 2nd of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the coadjutor bishop of Sorocaba , José Melhado Campos , and the bishop of Lins , Pedro Paulo Koop MSC .

He attended the last session of the Second Vatican Council as a council father.

On March 27, 1968 he was appointed the first bishop of the newly established diocese of Itapeva .
