Mount Axworthy is a 1640 m high mountain on the Lassiter coast of the Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises in the northwestern part of the Dana Mountains .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of surveys and with the help of aerial photographs taken by the United States Navy between 1961 and 1967 . The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him after Charles Sheldon Axworthy (* 1930), Hospital Corpsman and head of support staff at Palmer Station in the Antarctic winter of 1965.
