The Dana Mountains are a group of mountains on the Lassiter Coast of the Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . They rise up immediately northwest of the New Bedford Inlet and are bounded in the north by the Mosby Glacier and in the south by the Haines and Meinardus Glaciers .

They were first sighted and photographed from the air during the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941). The United States Geological Survey mapped them on the basis of surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1961 and 1967. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them after the American geologist James Dwight Dana (1813–1895).
