Lumigny-Nesles-Ormeaux is a French commune with 1,527 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement Provins and the canton of Fontenay-Trésigny (until 2015: canton of Rozay-en-Brie ). The inhabitants are called Luminiciens-Neslois .
geography
Lumigny-Nesles-Ormeaux is about 35 kilometers east-southeast of Paris . The Yerres flows through the south of the municipality , into which the Visandre flows. Lumigny-Nesles-Ormeaux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Mortcerf in the north, Hautefeuille in the northeast, Pézarches in the east and northeast, Touquin in the east, Voinsles in the east and southeast, Rozay-en-Brie and Bernay-Vilbert in the south, Fontenay-Trésigny in the South-west, Marles-en-Brie in the west and Crèvecœur-en-Brie in the north-west.

In 1973 the communities Lumigny , Nesles-la-Gilberde and Ormeaux were merged to form today's community.
