Balloy is a French municipality with 327 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Provins and the Canton of Provins . The inhabitants call themselves Balloyeux .

history
The area of Balloy has been inhabited since the Neolithic , excavations testify to this. In 1958 a Gallo-Roman burial site was discovered.
Balloy is first documented in the 12th century. The first known landlord is Gilles de Balloy in 1203, whose family ruled until the 15th century.
