Valence-en-Brie is a French commune with a population of 966 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Melun and the Canton of Nangis (until 2015: Canton Le Châtelet-en-Brie ). The inhabitants are called Valençois .

Valence-en-Brie is located about 19 kilometers southeast of Melun and about 61 kilometers southeast of Paris . Valence-en-Brie is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Les Écrennes in the north, Échouboulains in the east and northeast, Forges in the southeast, La Grande-Paroisse in the south, Vernou-la-Celle-sur-Seine in the southwest, Machault in the west and Pamfou in the West and northwest.
