Pringy Town Hall

Pringy is a commune with 2,924 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Seine-et-Marne in the region Ile-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Melun and the canton of Saint-Fargeau-Ponthierry (until 2015: canton of Perthes ). The inhabitants are called Pringiaciens .

geography

Pringy is located about eleven kilometers west-southwest of Melun on the École River . The municipality is located in the Gâtinais français Regional Nature Park .

The municipality is surrounded by Saint-Fargeau-Ponthierry in the north and west, Boissise-le-Roi in the north and east and Saint-Sauveur-sur-École in the south. The former route nationale 7 (today's D607) runs through the municipality .
