It rises in the Gâtinais français Regional Nature Park , in the municipality of Le Vaudoué , initially drains to the northwest, then turns to the northeast and north and flows into the Seine after 27 kilometers at Saint-Fargeau-Ponthierry as a left tributary . On its way, the École crosses the Essonne and Seine-et-Marne departments .
