The municipality is located in the agglomeration east of Brive-la-Gaillarde on the Corrèze River , into which the Vézère and Maumont flow here. Ussac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Donzenac in the north, Sainte-Féréole in the east and northeast, Malemort-sur-Corrèze in the southeast, Brive-la-Gaillarde in the south, Saint-Pantaléon-de-Larche in the southwest, Varetz in the west and Saint- Viance in the northwest.

The motorway triangle of the Autoroute A89 with the Autoroute A20 is located in the municipality .
