Beyssac ( Baissac in Occitan ) is a French commune in the Corrèze department on the western edge of the Massif Central . The inhabitants call themselves Beyssacois , plural Beyssacoises .
geography
Tulle , the prefecture of the department, is about 44 kilometers southeast, Brive-la-Gaillarde about 34 kilometers slightly southeast and Uzerche about 21 kilometers northeast. The municipality is bounded in the southeast by the Loyre , a tributary of the Vézère .

Attractions
The Domaine des Monts , a rural property of 260 hectares, the birthplace of Pope Innocent VI, with architecturally interesting horse stables belonging to the Domaine de Pompadour, has been classified as a monument historique since November 9, 2013 . The Saint-Eutrope church , a sacred building from the 14th century, has been classified as a monument historique since June 15, 1926.
